To what extent does your film experiment with conventions of narrative and genre? Pulp Fiction was made in 1995 directed by Quentin Tarentino. It has many tropes from various genres including: noir, crime, action and comedy. It could be classed as an experimental film as the narrative is out of order. As well as that, there are three different stories being told at once- Jules and Vincent's story, Vincent and Mia's story and Butch's story. Later Pumpkin and Honey Bunny's story is added in to inter-twine with Jules and Vincent.  The interweaving of Tarantino’s three stories puts a spin on the commonly used linear structure for films and presents it in an interesting way that allows themes of chance to dictate the narrative. An example of how this plot structure creates interesting results is with Vincent who is killed in one scene in the movie only to reappear again in the final scene.
